Lumo Orbic Hotspot Rayhunter Setup
1. Orbic Hotspot Initial Setup
- Insert SIM card.
- Insert battery and charge fully.[1][2][3]
- Power on by holding the power button for 3–5 seconds.[4][5][2][3]
- On device screen, press MENU twice to show 2.4GHz Wi-Fi info, or three times for 5GHz, then press POWER to display Wi-Fi SSID and password.[6][5][7][4]
- Connect a computer to the Wi-Fi network displayed.
- In browser, navigate to http://192.168.1.1 and log in (admin password: usually printed on hotspot label or the device screen).[8][9]
2. Configure Firewall and Network GUI
- After login, click **Settings** in the top menu.[10][11]
- Go to **Features > Firewall**.
- Select **Enable** from the Firewall dropdown, then click **Apply**.[11]
- For port forwarding (forward Rayhunter service on port 8080):
- Go to **Advanced Settings > Firewall**.
- Enable Port Forwarding.
- Set up a rule: source port 8080, destination IP (Rayhunter device), and save changes.[10]
- For CLI-based firewall on Linux (if using hotspot in USB-tethered mode):

sudo ufw allow in on wlxc8d3a30499bc to any proto udp port 53,67,68
sudo ufw allow in on wlxc8d3a30499bc to any proto tcp port 53
sudo ufw reload
```
Edit `/etc/ufw/sysctl.conf` for persistent changes.[12]

3. Rayhunter Installation and Launch
On Linux (direct USB tether)
- Connect Orbic hotspot to PC using USB-C cable.[13][14][15]
- Download Rayhunter from EFF releases page or GitHub.[16][13]

wget https://github.com/EFForg/rayhunter/releases/latest/download/releases.tar
tar -xf releases.tar && rm releases.tar releases.tar.sha256
```
- Run the included installation script:
```bash
./install.sh
```
- The Rayhunter daemon will start; it should bind to port 8080 by default.[14][15][13]
On Windows (PowerShell)
- Install Zadig WinUSB driver for device.[17]
- Download and unzip Rayhunter release.
- Save `install.ps1` in the directory with `install.sh`.
- Run:
```powershell
.\install.ps1
```
(Device may reboot; output will confirm success as “checking for rayhunter server…success!”).[17]
Verify Rayhunter
- Rayhunter runs as a service on port 8080.
- To access local Rayhunter web UI:
```bash
adb forward tcp:8080 tcp:8080
```
- Open browser and navigate to `http://localhost:8080\` for confirmation of service.[15][17]
4. Ongoing Management
- Monitor Rayhunter UI for detection status (“green” for normal, “red” for IMSI catcher).
- Periodically check firewall and port forwarding rules in the Orbic admin interface or via CLI.
- Keep device firmware up to date via Management > Upgrade in web GUI.[9][8]
- Change administrative passwords regularly and restrict physical access.

Lumo’s Second Version of How to Install Rayhunter on Orbit Hotspot
Orbic Hotspot, Rayhunter, and Firewall Setup
1. Orbic Hotspot Initial Setup
- Insert SIM card.
- Insert battery and charge fully [^1][^5][^2].
- Power on by holding the power button for 3–5 seconds [^2][^4][^3][^5].
- On device screen, press MENU twice to show 2.4GHz Wi-Fi info, or three times for 5GHz, then press POWER to display Wi-Fi SSID and password [^3][^4][^3].
- Connect a computer to the displayed Wi-Fi network.
- In your browser, go to http://192.168.1.1 and log in (admin password: usually on device sticker or screen) [^2][^6].
2. Configure Firewall and Network GUI
- After login, select **Settings**.
- Go to **Features > Firewall**.
- Set Firewall to **Enable** and click **Apply** [^7].
- To forward the Rayhunter service on port 8080:
- Go to **Advanced Settings > Firewall**.
- Enable Port Forwarding.
- Set a rule: source port 8080, destination IP (Rayhunter device), and save [^12].
- For CLI firewall (if using hotspot via USB on Linux):
```
sudo ufw allow in on wlxc8d3a30499bc to any proto udp port 53,67,68
sudo ufw allow in on wlxc8d3a30499bc to any proto tcp port 53
sudo ufw reload
```

- Download and unzip Rayhunter.
- In the folder, run PowerShell:
```
.\install.ps1
```
Wait for “checking for rayhunter server…success!” [^13].
Verify Rayhunter
- Rayhunter service should run on port 8080.
- Access Rayhunter web UI:
```
adb forward tcp:8080 tcp:8080
```
- In your browser, open `http://localhost:8080\` [^13][^6].
4. Ongoing Management
- Monitor Rayhunter UI for status.
- Periodically check firewall and port rules in GUI or CLI.
- Update hotspot firmware via Management > Upgrade [^2][^6].
- Regularly change admin passwords and limit physical access.
